Me, I'd change my original starting weight on the ticker so that I could still see the 20 pound loss. When I have a to-do list, and I do something extra in between that wasn't on the list, I run to the list, add it and then cross it off. We all need the psychological boosts when we can get them!

Something similar happened to me. I was using a dial scale at first and thought I weighed less than I did (thought I weighed 192), got the digital scale and found it was more like 195, so I adjusted my ticker since I still knew the 10 lbs were gone either way. Just a few more lbs from goal, no biggie!

Same thing here--my new scale was 10 pounds heavier. I just adjusted my ticker's starting point to add 10 lbs and then it still reflected my correct weight loss. It still was something of a bummer to have to 're-lose' those 10 pounds thought. Christine

Re: my old weight lied to me

I also had to adjust my start weight after changing scales, but I still have lost 140 pounds

So I would not return to induction just because you have discovered you have an extra 10 pounds still to lose. After all you have still lost the same amount of pounds already

To get your ticker to show you need to paste the bbcode into your signature block
Choose the 'quick links' link from the blue bar of links near the top of the page and select 'edit signature' from the dropdown menu that appears then paste your ticker code into the text box that appears and click 'save'.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

My scales are so screwy too.
Mine are about 12-14 pounds off since the beginning of Atkins, but consistantly
12-14 lbs off. I weigh 145 at home and 159 at the gym.
I like mine MUCH, MUCH better than those darn ones at the gym, by the way!

By mine at home I started at 200 so I'm happy with the 55 lb difference. Plus I count my 8 lb loss low carbing before starting Atkins. That's 63!
                  I feel so different.
                  I LOVE the new me!
Crazy scale or no crazy scale!

The scale is only one tool from which to measure your success. Don't panic. Hopefully you are using a measuring tape as well. Stay focused and you will acheive your goal!
