    See that's the bugger about being a guy - you can't blame weight gain on TOM

    I agree with the above and I'm sure its the cigarettes, well lack of, that has put your metabolism into a tailspin. Swearing at leslie should help with that. Also maybe add in some leg muscle exercises? Just basic ones like squats - you can do them in front of the tv and don't have to use much weight at the start. I also find step-ups - find a step and step up and down with alternate feet is a good one for the quads. Finally lunges are a killer but great for the hamstrings and butt. Bigger leg muscles will help your metabolism. Only have to do them 3 days a week and start off slow.

    Anyway, I hope to see a post from you soon with a mysterious 8lb whooshie in it.

      Peter,
      I'm sure it's from quitting smoking. Be sure and drink plenty of water to help wash all those nasty toxins away.

        getting enough

        cmcole thanks for your post, you bring up some good points. i think peterlock knows i'm on his side no matter what he chooses to do.

        in his case, it seems to me that a certain amount of weight fluctuation is completely normal. i consider 8 pounds on a male, who just quit smoking, no big deal.

        ps.
        he may kill me for saying so, but i'm willing to bet that neither peterlock or I have ever been in danger of not eating enough calories...heh heh heh
