  • Is this ok?

Hi there! I am on my 5th week of Atkins Plan. I weighed myself last week, i have lost 9 1/2lbs so far. I have now moved onto OWL Rung 1. If you have read my recent posts i have had problems going to the toilet and it soon be TOM. I was thinking to weight myself the following week after TOM to see if i have lost or gained.Do you think this is ok or weigh every week regardless.
Would like to know what others think, how often they weigh, just think its important to weigh on OWL so i know what foods affect weight. I do keep a journal though.
    Thanks again
    Danielle

How often one should weigh is more a matter of personal preference. If you are easily discouraged by the number on the scale, then it is probably a bad idea to weigh daily or weigh during TOM. If not, then you can weigh daily.

On OWL, it is better to stop searching your CCLL or introduce a new food during TOM. Otherwise you might have difficulties distinguishing between water retention and weight gain caused by a new food or too many carbs.

Personally, I weigh every morning. Some days I also weigh at night, right before I go to bed, just to get an idea of what I should expect in the morning. But as I've said, it's a choice you have to make, based on what works better for you.

Kent has a video about this on YouTube: YouTube - Atkins Diet: How often should I weigh myself?
