  • Just checking in...A small update on my weight loss journey.

I am still working through my OWL rungs. I have held steadfast to the Atkins' ways; however, the rungs and calculating my ACE are, well, going so-so. It's ok though, I have not cheated once since day one, and am still going strong. As you can see by my ticker below, I am rapidly getting closer to my goal, which if I might add, is actually a little bit of a problem. Problem, you ask? Well, I should be entering pre-maint., but I am just now working my way into the alcohol rung. I am not a big drinker, so I plan on continuing through my current rungs during the time that I would normally be working through alcohol. It is nice to know, however, that I can have a drink or two socially, or when hanging out with the guys. I went out and bought some more new clothes the other day. To my astonishment I came home with two medium... yes, that's right, MEDIUM shirts. Who would have though? I certainly didn't think it was possible. I went from XXXL to medium shirts, and from 48 to nearly 32 (34's are slowly getting baggy) pants. :yikes

As I approach my weight goal I am coming to realize that I have a lot more work ahead of me to reach my fitness goal. While I have exercised regularly throughout this time, I really want to turn some of this remain flab into muscle. Strength training has been my lax area, admittedly.

Well, that is my update in a nutshell. I am not sure if any knows me from Adam, but it's nice to stop in and see some friendly familiar faces. I will be updating my before and current pictures soon as well. :yes

Good for you. Congrats on all the hard work you have done! You can move to pre and just do the upper rungs at 10 net carbs instead of 5 it talks about that in thechapter on premaintenance in DANDR.

Happy low carbing you big loser!
