  • Soya Flour

In DANDR they seem to mention this flour a lot. I still haven't found it in Italy - there are no low-carb sections anywhere only non-glutin which doesn't help.

Could I use soya flour if I find it - say like a tablespoon to make a sort of pancake for breakfast?

I am on the Alcohol rung which I am not adding - just eating more veggies.

    Thankx in advance

I would use wheat gluten instead which is the protein of the wheat.

But that´s because I don´t like the taste of soy flour.

Would wheat gluten be on the same rung as Soy flour? Soy is a legume and Wheat is a grain? So would the wheat gluten need to wait until the last rung?

In theory YES but ..... as gluten is basically protein you could try it. Maybe it does not stall you. Just an idea.

use ground flax seeds to make pancakes the recipe is in the dats base as is one for psyllium pncakes in Naja's low carb cooking shool also ground almonds make a fine flour too the texture will be denser though. Soy flour is the same as soya flour you can use any protein powder as flour too just be sure it is a low carb one.

I made a lot of thinking about soy flour, as this is the only thing I'd consider eating from rung 6. And I still decided to skip the whole rung, because I've tried soy yogurt in the past and hated it. I can use flax instead if cooking (and I don't bake that much anyway). So - rung 7 here I am!

Almond flour is also good to use if you can find it.

                What about grinding almonds up?

I've tried this, but ended up with almond paste. Maybe I grinded too much at a time?

                    Thank you all for answering

I have been told there is a big store in the city close by so I will be trekking up there next week and now I have a good idea of what I can buy thank you.

Is flax = linseed ?? We used to give it boiled to horses LOL it was marvellous for conditioning and shining their coat before competitions.

                    again ty

Yes it is the same thing. You want to make sure you get the milled flax though because you will not get the benefits of it whole.

or you can just grind those with your coffee grinder (they do well, much better than almonds LOL)
