    Just wondering if being stressed out can cause weight gain?

    Heres my story...im getting myself and the kids ready for a wedding and because we dont go to many weddings its like i have to buy everything down to dress shoes.

    The henna party is on Saturday and the wedding is on monday. my dress and my 6 year olds dress for the henna party will be done on Friday - one day before the party and that in itself stresses me out lol.

    The past couple of days while the kidss have been in school i have been scrambling around buying stuff for the henna party and wedding. I have been having breakfast at home - usually eggs mushroom and cheese and have to scramble to look for something for lunch but both days i ate from the same place that gives you half of a chicken barbequed and a small salad. well ive been sooo hungry by the time i eat the meal that i scarf down the chicken and have no room for the salad. Both days i had a diet coke....i ve only drank a diet soda twice before that in all the time ive been on Atkins.

    Even when i come home im so full i dont want dinner.and so i dont have any just some water. ive only had half my vitamins both days cause i usually have half at lunch and half at breakfast. But since i was out of the house i didnt get to take the after lunch vitamins plus no exercise both days.

    Then all of a sudden i get on the scale today and im up 2 pounds!

    What do you think?

    i think your post answered your own questions. it isnt stress that made you gain, its lack of planning ahead, and therefore not eating correctly

      Stress, fewer veggies, maybe sodium in whatever they put on the chicken--all of this can cause a temporary stall or gain. Forget the scale until one week after the wedding but keep on track until then. And, next time, eat the salad first! It is something I try to do every time to make sure I get the veggies in.
