  • Maybe I need to avoid the scale for a bit!

I haven't noticed any loss since the end of induction. I am almost at the end of the first week of OWL rung 1. I do however, feel like my pants waist are less tight than a week ago (same pants of course). So maybe I need to be more patient???

All in all, I don't feel starved or deprived. I haven't had as much exercise as normal (kids were on school break last week and totally in my way!!). But I will be back to normal this week.

On the weekend, we had friends over for a BBQ, and my hubby made smoked baby back ribs and pulled pork. We made the sauces from scratch so we knew what was in them. I also made Atkins friendly cole slaw (which was GONE by the end) and some friends brought steamers. I didn't feel like I couldn't have stuff at all- just no buns for the pulled pork.

I have about 25 lbs to drop at this point.

I think measuring would be the way to go. And a few weigh ins here and there. We really do lose inches more often. And it is good to have positive reinforcement when that scale is not cooperating.
    Your BBQ sounded delicious.

Measuring and weighing are a double-edged sword. When the numbers are good, Euphoria!!! Bad numbers can be really depressing, though.

I would think you would at least want to weigh and measure weekly in order to stay on track as you navagate the OWL rungs. How else are you going to find CCLL?

i usually find in times that i'm not losing on the scale, i'm losing on the measuring tape. my weight has been a little slow to come off the last week or two, but since my last measuring day i've only lost .4lbs, but 1.5 inches.

I haven't measured, but I think you are right. My pants are much more comfortable than a week ago in the waist and my middle is visibly smaller, so the lbs will probably follow.
