  • I've graduated Induction!

Well, I completed my 14th day yesterday! I'm very excited to have successfully done induction without breaking rules or cheating. I lost a total of 12 lbs. on Induction and would love to keep losing more. The thing is, I think this rung is going to be extremely easy for me since I *loooove* veggies. It was hard for me to stay on the 'fixed' portion of veggies I was allowed, so this rung will be nice.

I can still only have 2 cups of salad veggies and 1 cup of the higher carb/fiber ones, right? (Cauliflower, Broccoli, etc.) Because......grr. I love cauliflower and broccoli. *sigh*

My book I ordered STILL has not come in, and I'm hesitant to get one from the library because I KNOW I will not turn it in on time. (I never do.) But dangit, I need that book!!! Amazon is taking forever...

The positive note though: I eat right. I exercise. I lost weight. And people have noticed. And I feel great.

Woo hoo! That's super awesome! 12 lbs is over 21% of the weight you have to lose. Most people lose 5-10%.

Well, if you love veggies then the good news is that you are not limited to X cups anymore. Find the average number of daily net carbs you had during Induction and figure out how many of these came from vegetables. Add 5 to both numbers and you will get your new carbohydrate level and the grams of net carbohydrate you should eat from vegetables alone. Whether you eat your veggie net carbs from 3 cups of from 10 of vegetables, it doesn't matter anymore.

Good for you to be exercising!

Oooh! So I can eat from either list?? I didn't like restricting my "other vegetables."

I like this level a lot better than Induction. The additional veggies make things a lot easier for me....

Way to go Jenna!!! I'm so proud. Yes OWL is soooo much more fun and less restrictive than induction. I'm glad you are going forward instead of staying in 1 place.

              Keep up the great work!

                      Re: I've graduated Induction!

I would suggest still eating your 3 cups as you did on induction but adding 5 more net carbs from either list. This will let you spot any 'stallers' more easily.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
