  • Just barely survived a testing weekend

Hi guys. Hope you all had a great weekend. For me, it was a real tester. I was frustrated as heck . I had the dairy rung last week (my week is Thursday to Wednesday) and lost a little under 2lbs, then stepped up to the nut rung (since I am not a big dairy fan). But that may have been not the wisest choice since once again it was that time of the month. I am a great water retainer at this time and I am sure some of that happened too. At the beginning of the week I made my second mini-goal and saw 189.8 on the scales but by the weekend, my official weigh-in time, that was nowhere to be seen. I know it was most likely water gain...I only had rung appropriate foods...but that didnt stop me feeling lousy about not losing.

The only good thing was that I didnt have my usual chocolate etc. cravings that come at this time of the month, but somehow my mind was trying to trick me into getting some anyway. I almost fell for it thinking that I would just have it since I didnt lose anything anyway, and could start over again Monday. Well I resisted and I am glad I did, but it sure wasnt easy. Seems like just the other day I started Atkins and had to go thru Induction Flu with TOM. Guess I have to ensure I have on full armour every few weeks if I am to not cheat.

Good job for staying away from the wrong carbs!

It's a good idea not to introduce new foods or to increase your carbs around TOM. One reason for gaining weight is more than enough... grr!

Thanks Georgiana. I dont know why I didnt follow my mind and not do that...but those macadamia nuts were calling my name ever since they were given to me as a gift by a friend..lol. No worries though as I plan to stay on this rung for a while longer to try out more nuts.

And the great news is that I saw my 180's again this morning...even lower than it was last week, but I will wait for that to settle to officially call it. So I am happy and felt so good doing my exercises this morning cause I felt lighter than last week and knew some of that water weight had gone.
