so I got my thyroid lab results back and dammit if they didn't have to raise my dose slightly of my synthroid. i thought the dose would need to go down. i've been on the pills for a couple days now and after my stumble on saturday with a piece of chocolate cheescake that threw me out of ketosis, i think i'm back on track since the scale was down 1.5 pounds this morning taking me back to 237.5. i've also discovered there was too much salt in the ham we had for easter as i was bloated since then! a whole week of salt bloat - yech. i have more energy this morning from the new thyroid pills though and we'll see what sort of difference this makes at the gym tonight. my parents are now gone home and things are back to normal. I'll stay in induction for another couple days just to make sure i'm back in ketosis then switch back to owl. i was disappointed to see my ketostix aren't changing colour, but we'll see if that's different in a few days. i'm not going to worry about it if they don't as long as the weight, inches and body fat percentages still shrink

Atkins will not effect heal your thyroid nothing will.

thepill actually makes you need more as the T4 and T3 bind to the new protein reaction sites the estrogen creates in your blood stream and it is nolonger avail to your cells

Also your Atkins has many goitrogen foods that can effect t4 to t3 conversion and the body in general responds to weight loss by lowering thyrtoid production.

Keep getting your dose checked every time you get a med change for any other cause and also ask ofr a full panel of thyriod test to be sure your cells are getting the hormones they need for metabolism.
