    How did it turn out? Thanks for letting me know it's not sweet. I have always used it in a sweet cake recipe before so guess that's what I'm thinking about. x

      Thanks for sharing your recipe.
      Bob's Redmill sells a great almond flour. That's the brand I use here in the states. Here's the web site if anyone wants to order it on-line.
      www.bobsredmill.com . I also buy the flaxseed meal and coconut flour. Really great for recipes.
      Just wanted to share.

        Hi, I have a loaf cooking in the oven.
        I am confused about the carb count though..

        Ground almonds have 6.9g net carbs per 100g so I make that 17.25
        Eggs have 0.6 each so that makes 3
        Total carbs (in my calculation) 20.25

          On the packet of almonds it says 3g carbs per 100g (uk already net!)
          Eggs I calculated 5 @ 0.5 carbs

          Flour = 7.5
          Eggs = 2.5

            Re: my almond flour bread recipe reposted here!

            Really?! Which almonds do you buy? The ones I buy are 6.9g (UK so already net) or 7.2g for the other packet. Maybe I am buying the wrong brand!

            I just took this out. Something very strange happened as it smelled of bleach! I used a new loaf tin which I think I hadn't washed properly. I am going to buy some more ground almonds and make this again though as it really smelt nice. Thanks for the recipe. x

                    Thanks for posting this. A "must try", for sure. I love almond flour and use it a lot. Grind my own very successfully.

                      There are Julian Graves shops all around in most areas, so I am sure you can find one close to you, Zarabelle.

                      BTW I found that my local 'Indian' shop sells raw unblanched almonds much cheaper than most other shops. Though you can't beat JG when they have stuff on half price sale!
                      Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
                      Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                            So 250 grams of almond flour is close to 2 cups...

                            and 50 grams of butter is close to 1/2 stick...

                            THANKS!!

                                So American recipe is:

                                almond flour 2 cups...
                                butter ½ stick...
                                4 tsp mixed spice or cinammon
                                2 level tsp baking soda
                                5 medium eggs

                                Mix dry ingredients together
                                Melt butter then mix wet ingredients together

                                Combine ingredients and bake at 300º for 40 mins
                                the top of the bread should be a nice golden brown

                                Small bread tin 9" x 4.5" x 2"

                                will make 20 oz loaf and 10 servings - total Net Carbs Per loaf 9.1

                                ==========

                                I finally found some Almond Flour and am going to try this...
