  • Rung 3 Day 4

Well I have been adding Almonds back into my life (and a little bit of peanut butter) since Sunday. As of today I am up 2lbs (from 174.6 to 176.6).

My net carbs have been around 30 everyday (give or take)

I have also upped my calories a little to keep them around 1200-1800 a day.

Should I stop eating nuts and see if I continue to see a weight loss?

I feel I am getting close to my CCLL.

    Any help is appreciated.

You're supposed to do one new food at the time so that if you run into an issue you have a clearer idea what food my be a problem. Did the peanut jar get to you? Terrible tempting stuff.

Did you up your carbs as you added nuts as well?

Are you close to your period? Any other stressy things happening that may make you hold on to water right now?

Sorry for all the questions but there are many factors to consider before you jump to the conclusion that nuts indeed are an issue.

I had the peanut butter Sunday, since then I haven't had any...actually it didn't taste the same as I remembered. I did not care to much for it. As for almonds I have been using them in my meals as batter or with salads (gives a nice crunch...).

Yes, I went from 25 last week to 30 this week. (give or take a little)

My next period is due June 20th, so a good week and a half away. I have never been one to stress on things. I have been told that I am the calm before the storm at my former boss.

No problem. I really thought dairy would be my problem since in the past I have been lactose intolerant...but I sailed through those weeks with no problems.

I am also avoiding eggs and so far my stomach has been doing great, plus I am actually feeling hungry and not nauseous.

So I think what I would do in your situation would be to see if after a week things leveled out (pounds gone again?) If not I would temporarily remove nuts but keep eating 30 carbs for the next week to see if your body is still fine with that much carbs.

Once you have figured out if you can still lose with 30 carbs try almonds again, if you get the same result you know almonds are an issue for you.

You're lucky with the peanut butter then. Keep it that way. I am somewhat obsessed with the stuff.

Did you have salted or unsalted almonds? If you had the salted kind, you may want to try unsalted once you figure out if 30 g net carbs are okay for you.

              They were unsalted.
