    Hi all today I am starting the OWL rung veggies could someone please tell me what do I do do I just add one more cup of extra veggies I have read and took notes on the stickies on the board and just wanted to make sure for ex: I will have 2cups lettuce for lunch and dinner 1 cup veggies now do I add one more cup of veggies urplequ:










    mini goal: 25lbs by 9/20/08

    it isn't a cup it is 5 net carbs of the veggies you choose. It can be one or many. There is a power of 5 stickie that loonatika posted with serving sizes for many of the veggies listed. YOu add more carbs to all your meals so get some in your breakfast too an omlete a side of a veggie whatever but you want it spread out all day long not bolused at later meals.

    You only eat the new to you veggie if it is a new to you veggie off the list you haven't had before 3 times the first week you have it. yep that is a misprint on page 179 in the rules. you eat your new rung everyday you just restrict the new to you individual food to only 3 times a week the first week you eat that food and that goes for any time you eat a new toyou food even if it isn't the rung you are working on like if you never had yellow squash and this summer you decide to try some even if you are on the other veggie rung you'd have the other vrggie 5 net carbs but you could have yellow squash 3 times that week too as part of your other already eastablished carbs.

    So get your book out and check your lists and have a great time in the wonderful food experiment part of Atkins called OWL.
