  • Weight loss with OWL

    I was doing extended induction for a while and wasn't losing much. It was recommended to go to OWL, which I did. I did start losing again. I have been on Rung 1 for maybe 3 weeks now. When I go to Rung 2, is it possible to have that little boost in weigh loss again as I increase my carbs?

    I do understand that part of OWL is a slow and steady weight loss as you determine your CCLL.

    I originally thought I would be on Rung 1 for a while but right now, I am thinking I am ready for Rung 2. I have done all I am going to do on Rung 1 (as far as introducing new foods).

    It's hard to predict what will and will not happen. The best is to go ahead.

    Actually, what might be "Safer" is to add an additional 5 net carbs of your Rung 1 foods---that is go up on the carb amount of a familiar food and see if you will still lose. That way, if you do run into trouble on Rung 2, you won't be trying to figure out if it is the new food or the new carb level.
