  • Moving out of extended into OWL

    Hi all,

I have decided to move on- Slow and steady....

I'm diosapointed I only lost 15 pounds in induction but what can you do? I personally think I was coming in under 15 carbs most days for lack of appetite and working out 45 minutes a day. Could it be my body was in a "starvation" type mode.

Regardless, holding steady and moving forward....

Touchbase soon and thanks for the support.

I wouldn't say "only" 15lbs...that is great! Good for you for accomplishing that.

I admit that I found it hard to get over 15 carbs a lot of days. As I have seen someone else say, the goal isn't necessarily to eat 20 carbs but to try for something near that and more importantly, not to go over 20 carbs.

Now you want to add 5 more carbs of induction veggies in (you don't have to try to eat 25g of carbs..just add 5 on to what you have been doing). That confused me at first.

There are a lot of good "stickies" at the top of the board about OWL.

Welcome and nice to have you with us. Jane

      Hi! Welcome to OWL

The weight will come off when it comes off...all we can do is our best! I think 15lbs is really good on induction...I think I lost about that much (I can't remember exactly-I'd have to check at home), and I had more to lose than you do...

15 lbs in induction sounds great to me! Well done. If induction is done correctly most people lose around 5 to 10% of the total weight they need to lose. Not sure how much you have to lose but that would be a guage for you.

You'll enjoy OWL... the extra food choices are very welcome and some lose even faster in OWL, especially the early rungs.
