    Okay, everyone, I am a little worried. For the past week and a half, I have been having diarrhea off and on and some abdominal pain when I eat. Here's a typical menu:

    Breakfast
    Flax muffin:


    1/2 teaspoon baking powder (.6)
    1 teaspoon cinnamon (.6)
    1/4 cup flax (0)
    1 packet splenda (1)
    egg (.4)
    butter (0)

    (3)

    Lunch:

    romaine (1/2 cup) 0.2, 4 cals
    shrooms (1/2 cup) 1.2, 9 cals
    cucumber (1/2 cup) 1.0, 7 cals
    feta cheese (1 oz) 1.2, 75 cals
    ranch (2 tbs) 1.4, 145 cals
    with chicken

    Dinner:

    Tuna towers

    2 slices tomato
    tuna salad (mayonnaise, salt, pepper)
    cheddar cheese
    In the oven
    Then guacamole

    I tried stopping the flax bun and just ate nuts, and that didn't help.

    I also started fruit this week. But the day after eating it, I got REALLY tired. I decided not to eat it the next day, but I still got really tired. I am drinking 64 oz water daily. Can anyone spot what is wrong? I really don't want to stop Atkins...and my doctor doesn't like the diet, so I am afraid to go back to her.

    Just a note....1/4 cup of flax isn't 0 carbs. I know the bag says it's 0 net carbs, but it's not because they round up the numbers. There's something like 0.1 net carbs per tablespoon flax. Which means 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) will have about 0.4 net carbs. Yeah, that's being really picky with the carb count, but when you are on OWL and looking for your CCLL, even that small amount can make a difference.

    Go back through your menues and see if the diarrhea and cramps coincided with adding anything----any food, any condiment (salad dressings, mustard, etc.) any beverage, etc. Even look for a change of brands. For example if you were using Spiffy's Ranch dressing but had to switch to WC Ranch dressing, that might make a difference.

    If you find nothing, then go see your doctor, where that person is supportive or not. Show him your menues (that usually shuts up the people who think Atkins is just eating bacon, bacon, bacon, and bacon all day.)

      I make the same flax muffin but mine says 3 Tab of flax so i slice it in half and eat the rest the next day.

        Could you have the flu? There are people around here who have had those symptoms and more for about two weeks now....
