  • Hi everyone!

After 3 1/2 weeks of incuction, (1 1/2 on my own and then 2 more once I found this board) I think it is time to be an OWL :joy

I really wish I had listened when I read to measure myself because I lost 18 pounds and a big amount of inches in this time. Jeans that were cutting me in half with the top button not buttoned are now comfy or a bit loose on me. Tight shirts aren't tight anymore. The bras that really were way too small now almost fit.

I would love to contiinue on induction another month but I can feel that I'm restless and need a bit more variety. I think 5 more carbs and an expanded veggie list will make me happy for another month or so.

    So, Hi everyone! :wave

I'm glad you learned that measuring is just as important (and probably more so) that weighing.

Dr. Atkins wrote that inches lost represented the fat emptying from your fat cells.

Besides, unless you walk around carrying a sign that says "Hi. Today I weigh _____ pounds." no one will know how much you weigh, but you and they will see that you look thinner.

I learned my lesson in not paying attention to the scale when I was "stuck" at the same weight for 6 months, but lost 3 dress sizes during that period.

Welcome to OWL. I stayed on the veggie rung for quite some time too and quite enjoyed that added variety.
