So I had broken my stall when I went on to rung 1. Yay! But I tried rung 2 (dairy) this week and I just cannot do it. My weight isn't fluctuating or anything, it is just making incrediably sick. I can handle some shredded cheese on my salads and what not as I did on induction but any increase of it, sour cream, etc...it upsets my stomach and I feel horrible. Has this happened to anyone else? Dairy really never bothered me before. I honestly dont miss it either. Am I okay to avoid it?

Re: Dairy Rung 2
Yes, you don't need to eat food from each rung. If you don't like foods on a rung or can't eat them, you can skip that rung.Julie__________________F/37/5'2"__________________Start April 15, 2009

Re: Dairy Rung 2
You may have a mild lactose intolerance. There is much more lactose in some dairy foods than others. Generally, the ones that are allowed on induction are very low lactose. So you have spent a few weeks with very little lactose and your body might now be saying "hey, I really don't want this stuff any more thank you!"
It is quite common to become less tolerant of lactose as you grow older. Babies need milk, but after that the ability to digest lactose can gradually be lost, for some people. I started having problems with milk around age 25. Hard cheese was OK into my 40s.

Of course you can avoid dairy if you want to or have to.Originally posted by Bazie View PostSo I had broken my stall when I went on to rung 1. Yay! Re: Dairy Rung 2
Its funny because I used to be a big dairy person. I loved milk and would drink it quite a bit.
I have tried milk a few times, mainly in my coffee but also just a sip or two to taste and
almost spit it out. Funny how our tastes change.
I agree it may be an intolerance.
Good luck
