  • Is this considered a stall

So I started Atkins 10/15, did induction for 3 weeks. Then started moving up the rung.. I did the veggies rung 1 for a few weeks, then I made the leap from rung 1 to 3, skipped dairy. I started making peanut butter fudge, and occasionally snacking on almonds, macs or having peanut butter and celery. I can say for 100% certain that since I've incorporated nuts, I have not lost any weight. My weight does flucuate. My weight in day is Thursdays. Thursday Nov 19th I stayed at the same weight. Thursday Nov 26th I had gained 2.2 lbs... that next day friday I went down .8 lbs ( i had to check to see if my scale was freaking out) I checked weight again.. (not an offical weight in) but I'm still up a couple of lbs... adn I know for a fact tomorrow I am not going to be below the weight I was on Nov 19th.

So am I stalled? And whats the safest thing to do? Drop nuts for a while?

Only try out one nut at a time - and there is a limit on nuts - only one ounce a day - no more - not a tiny morsel more

      >>am I stalled?>>

A stall is defined as no weight lost nor inches lost for 4 weeks.

Also, your body can and will "take a break".

Are nuts a trigger food for you?

Are Induction vegetables still the bulk of your eating?

Thanks so much for the quick responses! The nuts really didn't cause any cravings, although, maybe I overate on the portions... but still to not lose, but gain is puzzling to me.

Honestly at this point since I am incorporating other foods into my diet.. by veggie carb, vs other carb ration is probably 50/50

          If you overate nuts...

And measure how much you eat, so that you know for sure if you ate an ounce or three.

STall means no loss. So if you are up on day and down another day, it's not a stall.

But be sure to measure your foods. Plenty of folks make the mistake of estimating their way through OWL and they manage to screw up royally. So measure and be mindful of the amounts you are eating.
