  • Only losing weight on upper body ahhhh

    Hi! I just ended induction after a little over a week of being on it since I lost 5lbs in a week and only have 8 more to go, however I'm not seeing any difference in my trouble spots like my thighs. My upper body is lean but, ugh the thighs won't budge.

    I'm still losing weight on OWL, but just wondering if any one else had this type of weight loss? Will I eventually start losing in the lower part of my body? Thanks in advance!

    When I lose or gain weight, it's always in the same "order." For example, if I gain weight, it goes to my butt and waist, then my legs and last is my bust. When I lose, it's just that in reverse lol. It's just due to your body shape, some areas store more fat cells than others. I'm pear shaped, so it'll be a while before my butt is smaller

    That being said, even if you're losing more weight in some areas, you are still losing weight in the rest of your body. It's just may not be as noticable as certain areas, depending on your body shape.

        Give your body time! lol
        Everybody's bodies are different. But you haven't been doing this for very long... And you have less to lose = slower loss.
        If you really want to see results in your legs, try strength training!
        Worry less about the scale and more about loving your body. Do you care if you keep those 10 lbs but look 10x better? I wouldn't!!
        Muscle ways more than fat.... But fat takes up 5 times the volume...
        I'm just saying...

        Officially Re-Focusing on 12-28-09.

        Was, Am, Will be: 280/222/175ish.
        Started Dec 2005 and lost 105 lbs by mid 2006, maintained loss for the most part until 2009...then really let go & gained some back... lol

        so:
        Restart Progress:
        12/28/09 ~ 235.1
        01/04/10 ~ 229.0
        01/11/10 ~ 229.0 Grrrrr....
        (Induction= only 6lbs but lost 10 inches! yay)
        01/18/10 ~ 227.4
        01/5/10 ~ 226.8
        02/01/10 ~ 222.6

          Hang in there...it will come off Exercise/toning helps those trouble spots look better in the long run too...
