    hey guys,

    I a. 5 8 and i wast at 185 lbs. I started this diet exactly 2 months ago. I didnt have the dicipline due to lack of time to find my ccl, working 2 jobs and all. I stayed near induction level carbs, 25-30 at times and i am now at 170, I would like to be in between 155-160, so im about 15 lbs or less away from my goal (depending on what looks healthier) in terms of run, i have prob ate up to rung five..

    Question is, where do i stand, do i move onto pre maintainence? Still stay owl, Can I eat low carb tortillas, I dont have control issues, even if carb creeps, i am sure it wont affect me. whats the average CCL, Rather then starting up 5g at a time, I want to move to an average and move up or down accordingly depending on gain or loss.

    You move to Pre-Maintenance when you have 5-10 lbs left to lose. In my experience, it's best to move through all the rungs before moving to Pre-Maintenance.

    Only in OWL Rung 9, because they have grains.

      as Dr Atkins says each person is an individual and their metabolism will determine their CCLL. without an idea of what kind of metabolic resistance you have it is impossible to even questimate for you. eating 25-30 carbs and have 15 pounds to go so you would still be an OWLer.

      since you want to try the tortilla why not make them your next OWL addition and see if having them 3 times this week effects your wantings and cravings your physical health and/or your inches and pounds. if they don't effect you then you know it is safe to add them back to your OWL. rung 6 is legumes and you can eat them next with your tortilla if it doesn't effect you to have some killer mexican meals. I can't eat teh low carb tortillias so I worked my way to rung 9 and then made home made high maize corn ones that are low carb and safe for my Atkins.

      what are you doing as the mandatory exercise part of your Atkins? increasing your duration and/or intensity of exercise an increase your CCLL too.
