Re: McDonalds Detox
It did. 4 if you count the caramel colour - that would be sweet stuff.Originally posted by MelTin View PostSo hey have at least three sugars in their sausage.
After reading that list of ingredients for the egg stuff - I am going to say some extra thanks for the real egg I'll scramble tomorrow. That was sure a whole truckload of transfats and preservatives.
Hope you are feeling better Hummer. You could have reacted to any of that stuff. Some people react negatively to BHA for instance

Yes I do realize why..i just find it funny that they have to make sure that people understand there are eggs in their eggs.Originally posted by 2big4mysize View Postthe bold stuff is the allergens and eggs are on the top seven in the nation known food allergens.
Though it is McD's I guess there could always be a good change there are no eggs in the eggs so they have to remind us!Jen, 39, F

Re: McDonalds Detox
DISGUSTING! I made the same mistake, thinking the eggs were really eggs, silly me. The only safe thing to order at Mc Donalds is a bottle of water or maybe a cup of coffee (who knows they probably add sugar or potato starch or something to their beans!) Stick with the bottled water LOL or stay away!!

I used to work at Hardee's in high school and college. Back then we used real eggs to make scrambled eggs and the eggs for the sandwiches. What in the world happened to cooking with real food?cheri

Re: McDonalds Detox
To answer your last question - all of the ingredients in everything you eat have to be on the list of foods acceptable for induction - neither the eggs or sausage are legal because of the sugars, milk & other non-induction-legal ingredients. (I am assuming that you are on extended induction since that is what your profile says...if you were in/past OWL Rung 2, and had added milk on that rung, the milk would then be OK.) Hope this helps!Originally posted by Hummer View PostOk so went to McDonalds today and only had some scrambled eggs and a piece of sausage... why is it that 20 mins later im super sick (diarehea) sick from there when I can eat it at home and am just fine... Re: McDonalds Detox
I didn't plan very well for our trip down to Florida at Christmas...we stopped in at McD's, and I had the same thing - eggs and sausage. I knew the risks going in, knew the ingredients, but I didn't have anything else and we were running low on cash. I figured it'd be better then eating pancakes and biscuits.
I learned my lesson when an hour later I threw it all up on the shoulder of I-95.
Fun times...
