    Milk rung

Ok Tommorrow I will start the Dairy Rung so does that mean I move my carb intake to 30 from the 25 on Veggie rung, and while I am on this Dairy rung can I drink milk and eat cereal or can I only drink milk? I have reread the book but don't find anything about milk, also when I was doing induction I didn't quite get up to 20 carbs I got somewhere in the line of 11-14 carbs and same for veggie rung can someone help me please as I am very confused.

Cereal has to wait until the grain or legume rung.

Milk is pretty high in carbs. 8 ounces of whole milk has about 13 net carbs.

You can try adding the "low carb dairy beverages" and see how that is for you.

      milk rung

So if I use carb countdown milk then it's ok to drink as I have read on the board that it has only 3 g carbs,??

you can try it out and see how it affects you. Personally, I think it tastes nothing like milk so I don't drink it straight.

Anyhow, about your carb level...Did you eat an additional 5 net carbs of veggies in addition to what you were already eating during Induction? IF you did, your carb count should have reflected that.

I found I can't drink milk (after almost a year on atkins) - makes my stomach nasty... bloated, gas :anger .
but yoghurt, kefir, cottage cheese, such things work fine :confused.
So you gotta try and see what agrees with you. Just remember to try one thing at a time to realize which of them and how is affecting you.
I think you can buy low-carb yoghurt and other stuff there. Just check the labels for added sugar and thickener.

If your carb count was 15 on induction then it should have gone to 20 on Owl vegis and 25 on OWL milk rung.
