  • OWL Question

So, I've made it to the nuts. Thing is, there are really only a few types of nuts I like. I've tried the macadamia and almonds, even bought some flax meal (boy that stuff can be good as bread and a muffin). I'm doing well with the portions and I haven't had any adverse reactions that I can see just yet (still watching how the scale reacts). None of the blood sugar symptoms outlined in the book.

My question, I don't like pecans, walnuts, brazil nuts or many others. I adore cashews but I'm making a conscious effort to avoid them right now as I know I'm not ready for that challenge. That said, if I monitor the reaction from the nuts I've tried would it make sense to go on to the next rung? I've always thought of making it to berries and hanging there a bit to try the different combinations. Or would you still hang around on the nut rung for another week or two?

    Thanks in advance...

    Re: OWL Question

If you have tried all the nuts you want to use in your menus then there is no reason to force yourself to try others now.
Move on up to berries now, but when you do decide to add any of the other nuts then treat it as if you are moving to a new rung by only introducing them every other day and check your reactions to them.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
