  • I cheated!!!!! :(

    Im beating myself up now. I went to dinner for valentines day to the chesecake factory and had this chicken dish which was slightly breaded with lemon and asparagus and spinach...well i ate 2 of the breaded chicken breasts and very little of the spinach and asparagus.......and this morning i had the 3rd chicken breast for bfast because we had no food in the fridge.

    I feel like such a cheater....i feel so bad. ahhhhhhh.
    going to gym now.

    will this effect my weightloss??

    Current weight: 179 (05/10/10)
    Goal Weight: 145lbs
    Mini-goal weight: 190lbs (out of 200s) MET APRIL 12TH, 2010!!
    Mini-goal weight: 175lbs (will look decent)
    Mini-goal weight:160lbs (will be super happy have not been this weight since middle school)

    Im married, 2 sons (ages 2 and 1.) Want to loose as much as I can before my May or June trip to Morocco.

    In the big picture, probably not.

    In the next few days, most likely.

    Why didn't you eat the vegetables?

    Remember ... choices have consequences.

    You would do better to figure out why you made the choices you did rather than beating yourself up. And work out a better plan for future choices.

        Any restaraunt will leave something out if you have special dietary needs, (they want you to come back). You could have asked to have the chicken without the breading, and it would have tasted just as nice. I do this often and have never had an issue.

        Think about it what if you were allergic to an ingredient? I always tell my mind one of my favorite sayings, "I'm allergic to carbs, when I eat them I break out in fat".

          I dont know...i felt it was a nice dinner with my hunny that i should enjoy it. was lightly breaded wasnt covered in bread....kinda thin like the parmasian chicken at noddles and co....very very little.
          And for some reason i went grocery shooping friday and leaving my mother and grandmother at my house for the weekend to watch the boys.....haha i came to an empty fridge hahahaha.
          not even a vegtable or anything....but still thats no excuse. i could have hoped in the car and go to the store...but that chicken was so yummy.

              i learned my lesson...i hate feeling like this. its such a horrible feeling that i cheated.

                Hmm ... seems to me you could have had a "nice" dinner that wouldn't have caused you to write your first post.

                So ... when the scale bounces up ... will you think the chicken was still worth it?

                I've eaten on plan at Cheesecake Factory ... and it was a nice dinner. You really need to figure out why you made the choices that you did ... it's part of the "inner housework" that goes with doing Atkins.

                  My hubby took me out to dinner too ... but I had the steak with sauteed mushrooms (the waitress brought me extra since I didn't want potato or rice) and a nice salad.

                  Didn't feel like I was missing out at all!

                    Just put it behind you. Whats done is done and it doesn't sound like you did much damage. Why didn't you eat the veggies though, that should have been the best part to eat.

                      I would never tell you to eat something breaded. But when I did Atkins last year and went onto OWL (without rungs, just 5 additional carbs a week) I would eat things that were breaded, 1X a week and it did not affect my weight loss. Until I stopped counting carbs (which is why I am back)

                      Atkins gal is right that it might stall you for a day or two (maybe) but in the long run it won't.

                      Go work out and do better tomorrow.
