  • Are these vitamins ok?

    I read somewhere about the vitamins i could take, currently i am on a multi-vitamin chromium picolinate and super b complex pills daily. I thought I had read somewhere that L-glutamine would help with sugar cravings, something about selenium , and that omegas 3s would work also. Any input on what all i should be taking?

    I think what you are doing looks good.
    You do not have to do all this stuff. I never did L-glutamine because I am able to deal with my cravings.

    Vitamins is not about "working" They are about making sure we get all nutrients. The best way to get nutrients is with our foods as the body likely absorbs them better that way.

    We are all a bit different when it comes to vits. Atkins in his book says that because most of us eat so purely before we start Atkins we need to make sure we supplement in the beginning. I think that it helps to look at the analysis you get from a place such as FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal. It will tell you after you entered your foods how you are doing on your vits and minerals and then you can maybe supplement.
    A good multivit/mineral pill is great.
    I often take some vitamin D in the winter and maybe cod liver oil
    And at times I do potassium and magnesium.
