  • The Stall is broken!!!!!!

Since TOM is still around, I haven't been on the scale. Well, this morning I decided to jump on the scale to see what would happen and I was shocked. The stall has been broken. I've been stuck at the same number for some time now. I either go up a pound then loose the pound. Well today the scale finally went down. I'm so happy!

I'm excited for you. Remember a stall is like 6 weeks or more, you were hesitating. LOL

It's 4 weeks of no weight loss or inches lost.

I guess I was on Rung 2 because for the last 2 weeks I've had more cream (whipping cream). I 've decided to add nuts in so am going to buy some nuts (macadamias or almonds) this week and see how that goes. Do you guys get your nuts from the grocery store or at a health store? In the past I have got mine from Walmart (in the can) but not sure if those are considered good for Atkins? Hubby also bought some strawberries and would love to try them with some cream. Can I try the nuts and strawberries together or should I do the nuts first?

You should add one new food at a time. You should add a new food only 3 times per week.

You should follow the OWL carb ladder.

congrats on dropping some body fat and moving on up with your OWL.

since you want to do nuts try to buy raw nuts. then you can flavor them roast them or grind them for flour and not have to worry about portion controls to much cause you have the time it takes make another portion to talk yourself out of eating them.

wait on the berries till you are sure you know how you do with nuts.

I've only seen raw almonds around here but not macadamia nuts. I would rather have macadamia nuts. Can I just get the ones from the store?

you can get anything you want that is a nut or seed for rung 3 I wqas just suggesting your buy raw ones cause so many folk have portion control issues stopping at just an ounce of nuts, especially if they are roasted and/or salted.

I agree with 2big, it is far easier to restrict portions to one ounce or less if you buy unsalted ones.

I use alnonds as my nuts and divide the pack into one ounce portions when I buy them to avoid mis-estimating how many one ounce actually is!

I found some small containers that contain just one ounce to make i easier for me, and they are a good size to have in my pocket/bag/glove compartment for 'emergencies' as well.
