    actually if you'd been exercising, running your buns off all morning before the testing 20 min would not have returned it to normal

      I checked it again today and it was normal...121/83. It must have been from all of my running around and exercise! Thanks for all of your input! I just thought it was so weird that the diastolic number was so high...I thought that exercise raised the systolic number.
      Ahhh well, I will keep monitoring it!

          good for you!! High BP is a huge pain...I'm in 20s and at a normal (although not aesthetically optimal) weight and have very high blood pressure....around 90/145 when not on medication. I currently take atenolol...no side effects yet.
          I doubt Atkins will fix my problem, as it is not dietary, it's genetic. My mother is also at normal weight and has it.
          But i'm hoping
          5'4, Medium framed female.

          Weight: 135/125/115

          Exercise: Stroll leisurely around Miami Beach 1-3 times a week, between 4-8 miles every time.
          Heavy weights (for me) slow burn method (Body by Science).
