  • I am full of questions today...

    For those of you in OWL RUNG 3-6 specifically:

    What do your fat/carb/protein percentages look like most days? What should be my target when using FITDAY?

    Mine today are: 55% fat, 11% carbs, 34% protein. 1850 calories

    Yesterday: 58% fat, 15% carbs and 26% protein. 1600 calories

    It seems to me that your fat % is too low.

    However, rather than worrying about your %s (since that's not what Atkins is about) ...

    how many net carbs did you get? How many were from Induction vegetables?

      some folk do better on lower fats and can handle their fats below 60% before they get to premaintnenace other who have a higher metabolic resistance need to keep their fats higher for life and will never be able to eat in the 50s.

      So the answer is are you having any craving issues? are you still shedding inches/pounds of body fat? are you feeling okay energywise? tired? any sugar symptoms returning?

      if the answer to those questions is no, yes,yes,no then you are fine with what you are doing.

      One word of caution though the lower our fat% goes as we add back carbs the closer we get to that pont where appetite returns. that can scare the heck out of folk who have been experieincing for the first time in their life no appetite and not much hunger feelings.

        The reason why I was asking about % is because the more carbs I add the less fat I seem to take in. Therefore I wanted to know if that was normal or not going thru this WOL.

        Thank you for letting me know the lower fat % can lead to cravings. I was also worried about that with additional carbs.

        My net carbs vary from 30-35, trying hard to get to 40 but can't quite reach there.

        Veggies: 14.8 carbs today (seems low)
        yesterday 11.7.. seems very low.

        I think I answered my own concerns, thanks.

          That is indeed natural. However, you have to find out, as has been noted, what the best amount of fat is for you.

          That's why reliances on %s are so meaningless.

            Agreed. Jusy trying to find my CCLL. But losing sight of the veggies in the meantime.

            Tomorrow is a new day in which I will refocus on the veggies. I like them the best so why stray far? Because I'd eventually like to find a good balance of foods I enjoy and eat my veggies too
