    Re: Bow chicka ow ow!

My shopping is getting a little out of hand since I lost all this weight. I went from buying a few things a year to a few things a week so now I fill up my time with more exercise. I barely even watch tv anymore and I used to be a couch potato.

            Re: Bow chicka ow ow!

A year ago we made the decision that we were going to move to CA within those next 12 months or so. In the basement, as I had been slowly going through closets and drawers and whatever, we started a section in the basement of clothes and household items that we would be donating before we left. That was before I started Atkins, and at the time, thoughts of ever losing weight seemed so out of reach. Some of the items were pretty nice things like jackets, and nicer things that I had not worn for years!!!

Well we haven't made the move yet, (it is coming soon), but the other day, I noticed many clothes I had placed in the donation area, that I actually fit into again, or will be very soon, and now it's like going shopping right in my basement.

Thats excellent! I had actually put a bag of "tight fitting" clothes into a couple of bags in my basement, to give to Red Cross! Well as it turns out, I've been digging through the bag aswell, and fitting into those clothes again....a couple more months and maybe they will all start to fit!!
              Isn't that a great feeling?

              Cheers

                  Re: Bow chicka ow ow!

I had things shoved in the closet I brought with me when I moved into my new house. For awhile I would go through the closet and purge. There were just somethings I could not bring myself to throw out even though I couldn't squeeze into them no matter what super human jumping, wiggling and sucking in I did. Lately I have been going in there and grabbing an item or 2 and trying them on to see where I am at. The nerves I feel trying them on make me laugh at myself because I am so afraid I will be disappointed. The other day I grabbed my last pair of stashed jeans, the smallest pair I own. I stared at them for awhile then sucked it up and decided I'd try them on knowing that those suckers were going to stall at my hips. What do you know I got them up, zipped and they are loose. You would have thought I had won the lotto with all the dancing around and whooping I did. I now need to go buy some more new clothes because even my new and old clothes are too big. Oh gee I am so sad. Not.

Closet shopping is a great pastime
Make sure you keep trying the too-small stuff on though. I missed out totally on a couple of really nice outfits because by the time I thought to try them on they had got too big for me
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
