since we are supposed to feed hunger only I eat when hungry. this meant during induction breakfast was around 7 AM and lunch was around 4PM with a small snack at 1 PM, normal luch time. I guess you could call it lunch but it was just a few strips of peppers with an ounce of cheese. Dinner was later and some days I skipped dinner.
Since I did extended induction I used an ounce of almonds as my snack if dinner was not going to happen cause I was not hungry.
usually if missed a meal and had a snack instead then i was hungry when I did have the meal. very few days were 2 6 hr snacks.
since I have to wait an hour after I take my thyroid meds to eat I always worked out in the morning during that hour and was hungry at breakfast time so missing breakfast was never an issue for me.
I eat when I am hungry also. I am always hungry at breakfast and I also have a late lunch. I am fairly active and usually have a snack when I get home from work. (I bike 7 miles each way) DH prepares dinner and it is usually late. Often, I am not hungry by then. Some days I am barely hungry and eat very little. Some days like today, I can't eat enough. So, today I am eating everything in sight, all legal of course.

I have sort-of figured out how much to eat so that I am hungry at the "right time" for meals on week-days. I have the same breakfast every day, which leaves me hungry for lunch around 11:30. I generally have dinner around 5:30/6, if I am really hungry before that, i'll have a snack to hold me until dinner. I also keep snacks at work in case I am extra hungry - I snack if I need to (if I am hungry).
Week-ends are a different story - I just eat when I am hungry.

Yes,
I usually eat breakfast around 730am and by 11 I start to get hungry again. I will snack on veggies in the afternoon due to hunger, or some almonds. But for supper time I am usually not hungry at your normal 5-6pm, so I tend to have a meal closer to 8pm.
I know alot of ppl say not to eat after 6pm, so I just wondered how some of you do things.
Thanks for the input
Jules

We eat around nine. I know many people say that it too late, but we live in Europe and there is not a country here that will eat before seven at the way earliest. It is a habit you get in if you want to ever eat out.
Europeans tend to be at a decent weight even with the late dining hour.

During the weekday, I have a pretty fixed schedule. Breakfast at 7 AM, Lunch between 12 to 1 PM, Dinner at 6 PM. There are times, when I'm not as hungry so I might not eat my entire lunch at noon, but eat what I need then finish it later in the afternoon or bring it back home for dinner.
Weekends are a different story. About an hour and a half after I wake up, I eat breakfast. Then I make sure I eat lunch or eat something in 6 hours. Then dinner follows again, in that 6 hour frame. The amount I eat is variable. Sometimes I'm really hungry. Other times, like today, I'm not very hungry at all.
I try to have at least 2 planned snacks, and three meals in a day. Eat when hungry, but waiting until you are too hungry is a recipe for overeating. I find that I eat past satisfied if I am very hungry. Do you use fitday.com?
When I was fit and well I tended to eat at 'normal' meal times to fit in with my husband and our daily routines, but now he often goes out to lunch alone on the days I am not up to it, or we eat at home a lot, so I mainly eat to appetite.
Getting hard to keep up my food intake at the moment, but I am fairly expert in using fitday in advance to keep calories/carbs to the right area and some of my medications have to be taken 'with or after food' so that makes me eat 'a little something' at those times.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies? Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
I eat 80% of my calories between 8:30 am and 3:00pm. I eat 3-5 X while at work. Then will eat one final time at dinner. Dinner could be anywhere from 5pm-8pm. If it was just me and my kid I wouldn't even make dinner for myself.
Since I'm at home it's easy to just eat when I am hungry. I don't have a set time. I may eat when I get up, I may eat an hour or two later. Just depends. Dinner is usually around 6-7. Dinner depends on when Dh gets home from work.

I eat when hungry also. Though I find if I haven't eaten enough early in the day, I get a bit too snacky at night so I try to eat most of my food early in the day. Sometimes its tougher to do than other times. When working, I eat breakfast about 9-10am, lunch around 1-2pm and have a snack when I get hungry around 4pm. Then I go home, do my run and have dinner an hour or two later when hungry again about 7pm. Then dessert around 9 or 10. I eat more when I run more...I suppose that make sense but I have always been a "eat every 2-3 hours" kind of gal...I feel better when I do but its not scheduled, I am just hungry that often! On the weekends my schedule is pretty much the same, eat every 2-3 hrs...my stomach is like clockwork!!! Lol. Especially if I workout a lot. Then again my portions are pretty small...
