  • Question about OWL

    Hiya,

So as of last week have moved to OWL and introduced 5g extra of induction veggies.

But my weight loss has stopped- I was very pleased with my induction weight loss (12 lbs) so I'm not too bothered.

Would you all suggest hanging around OWL rung 1 for a few weeks?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Question about OWL

Yes, I would - it is not unusual to have a 'pause' in weight loss after the first couple weeks. You can search for 'PISS' (post-induction stall syndrome) on this board to find more info on that.

      Re: Question about OWL

Did you add any veggies that you were not eating on induction?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

No, have just upped the quantity of them (hope this is right ) so whereas I was having around 15 net carbs from veggies am now having 20.

I exercise quite a lot everyday (I've always exercised but have upped it quite a bit over the last 9 days ) and my water intake has gone up considerably- because I have a v.dry mouth! Could these be possible reasons- or is it more likely my body is taking a break.

          Re: Question about OWL

check your inches and you should still see you are shedding body fat as you are adding lean body mass either as fluids or more muscle tissues or a combination of both. fluid weight can fluctuate after an initial weight loss but it is just temp.

Also the new to your body exercise can cause a fluid weight gain until your body realizes that new load is now the normal load.

enjoy your OWL. If you are worried having 20-45 more cals of vweggies has stopped your weight loss stick there for another week and see how you feel and do. if you are not worried then you could move on to rung 2.

if you haven't been measuring now would be a good time toget a baseline for OWL comparing.
