  • When to move on...

    Hey there,
I've been on rung1 for 2 weeks now and I am wondering when to move on to rung2?
When did you guys decide it was time to move on?

    Thanks,

    Jules

Have you explored many new vegetables?

There would be nothing wrong with moving on ...

I have been eating all types of veggies,
Spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, asparagus, tomatoes, cauliflower, onions, cucumber, omg the list goes on.
So maybe i will move on, on April 1st! I'll have to re-read to understand the next phase.

        Re: When to move on...

Well, you know what Rung 2 is ... so you add 5 net carbs of a dairy ... and since it's a "new" food, you add it 3 times a week ... and on the other days, you would add an extra 5 net carbs of Induction vegetables.

So ... on some days, out of your 30 net carbs, 22-25 of them would be from Induction vegetables.

          Re: When to move on...

we move whenever we want to move to have new food choices. we can move before we have tried all 54 veggies from the indcution food list and should we at some point in the future decide "Hey I want to try X, but I didn't do it on rung 1 and I don't want to go back to rung 1 now."
that is okay you just make it your new food for the week on whatever rung you are on.

Enjoy your fresh dairy but remeber we always use Dr Atkins method for counting cheese carbs one ounce is one net carb even if fitday says we can have more then 20 ounces for that 5 net count it is only 5 ounces at the most.

nuts on rung 3 have their own Atkins counts too, one ounce is 5 net grams per Dr Atkins in DANDR

You can also add an extra five carbs of veggies before you try dairy. That way you know that you will do well with 30? carbs before trying dairy and it may be easier to determine if dairy gives you issues that way.
