  • Lost 1 lb...

Weighed in today and have lost a pound. Feel a bit deflated really but know tthat a loss is better than a gain!!
Do u think the 2 glasses of wine I sneaked on Thursday could have slowed the loss down for the rest of the week? I also have had milk in my coffee a few times....
    Is this why.

Ha! We'll take that as a confession since I know you already know the answer you're going to get to your inquiry.

While I do not advocate "cheating" on this WOE (wine and milk, although I suppose you are on the milk rung now, right?), I would add that sometimes the weight loss take a mini vacation and a one pound loss is nothing to fret over. Keep up the good work!

The wine could be a problem food for you.

You're on Rung 2, so milk is acceptable. How much did you have?

You could have lost 1 pound this week just because that's the amount your body "wanted" to lose.

          Re: Lost 1 lb...

Having analysed my week I can answer my own question. My weigh loss was minimal because I did not excersize. My excersize comes from pram walking- and due to child sickness I only went walking Monday and Tuesday.
Nothing to do with the wine....hehehehe Joking!

Your "minimal" weight loss may have had to do with the fact that the days of the week ended in "y".

            You won't lose every week.

The statistical rate of loss for women is 1/2 to 1 pound per week.

              congrats on your loss.
yep becomeing less active is one of Dr Atkins stated reasons in chapter 15 of why weight loss stops so you did well to shed a pound.

now how are you going to get your exercise with the sick baby? make yourself a plan so if it happens again you are good to go.

Lizpolat: we started Atkins on the same day.

The first week of OWL I lost nothing. I gained a pound. The second week, I've lost three.

I think you are doing great!

Just keep at it. Like others said, you probably know the answers to your questions. Sneaking things is never good, because the simple fact that you refer to it as sneaking probably means you know what is allowed and what isn't.

Just keep your head up. 1 lb is 1 lb!
