  • Start of week 5

Week 5 so moved up to OWL rung 3. Not a big nut fan but will include some walnuts in my cooking I think. Also may add some sesame seeds in somewhere.
It is my birthday in 10 days time and I would like to set myself a mini goal of losing an inch off my waist. Would like to also aim for 3lbs loss as well. am going for a new look as well so my long hair is getting the chop!! that might lose a lb!
Upping the excersize this week for sure.
Hve got my turkish mother in law staying this week. has been a challenge trying to get her to understand the woe. she keeps wanting to give me rice and bulgar and says its healthy etc. She doesnt get that its not healthy for me!!
another point. weighed myself before bed last nite. had gained 5lbs. paniced! We did have a very tasty BBq and i had drank loads of water. so took it that it was just what i had consumed. and this morning, back to 212. Wont weigh at night again!

The interesting thing about weighing at night is that if you do it along with weighing in the morning, you see the pattern of "gain"/loss your body makes.

We do have to remember that we will NATURALLY weigh more (sometimes as much as 5 pounds) at night than in the morning.

We are all different of course when it comes to food. But for me rung 3 is probably the most important. I like to use seeds and nuts in baking, for breakfast in salads. They are of course also potentially problematic as many people have portion issues,

Hope you have a good rung and good luck with your MIL - those can be tough to deal with at any time.

glad you are moving on up.
you can grind your nuts and seeds to make a breakfast cereal or even a side dish that would look like bulger.

explain to your mother inlaw that bulger and rice are higher glycemic and will be part of your weight loss plan in 6 more weeks. That should help her understand your eating is healtheir then she thinks.
