I am 5 8 and weighed 183 lbs when i starated 5.5 months ago. I have gone Up the rung latter to the best of my ability except rung nine, as I feel I start to stall and even prob gain again. I wanted to get to 155 and i was at 159 but then i had an episode at work where i passed out. Now my family is forcing me to atleast eat those low carb tortilla so i added that to my deit 4 times a week. I havent had another episode, but now i weigh 162. My carb count is low still around 40, I dont know where to go from here seems like I have reach a wall that I will be unable to climb over.

Re: Health Concerns...
Post your menues in the "review my menu " forum. Be sure to indicate that you are on OWL. List all the foods, beverages, condiments, etc. that you eat/drink and list all the amounts. For your OWL foods, include the gross amount and the net carbs for example " teddybearfeet 3 ounces (5 net carbs)"Originally posted by ahmerkhan View PostI am 5 8 and weighed 183 lbs when i starated 5.5 months ago. Re: Health Concerns...
In addition to the suggestion of listing some exact menus so people can 'troubleshoot' with you, it might be that grains are not for you anyway.
A lot of people cannot handle grains at all without gaining weight, no matter how many carbs they eat, maybe add some carbs from more from the fruit or starchy veg rungs and see if that gives you enough nutrition to feel better.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: Health Concerns...
just curious how did you climb the carb ladder and be up to rung 9 with your carb count below 40 net grams since we add 5 net per rung and you had your induction carbs from your veggies and anything else you were having?
I'm amazed your family have such insite as to know that you passed out from too few carbs in your diet since and ER doc wouldn't know that until he had run a battery of blood work tests to see if your blood sugar was too low or if your blood pressure was too low from having your electrolytes too low.
And if you are eating rungs 1-8 why would your family even think you needed more carbs since you would have been having those induction 3 cups of veggies plus rung one 5 more net of those veggies plus 5 net of the fresh dairy plus 4 net of the nuts and seeds plus 5 net of the berries and melons plus 5 net of the legumes plus 5 net of the other fruits and 5 more net from the root veggies. with all that food "carby" food on your daily menu how would they even suspect you were still low carbing?
Are you sure you are doing atkins and you got to rung 9 of OWL?????by the book atkinseer
