    I got Fired.

    I was fired from my defensive coordinator position at the school I work at. I was told that if I came back at all it would be as a position coach. For those who don't know American Football, that is a huge demotion. I didn't get fired from my teaching position, so I would still have a job. However, I am not going to drive 74 miles a day.
    The reason this happened is because I said I was thinking about looking at an opening that was going to open up very close to my house. I was giving him a coutesy so he wouldn't be blindsided if they called him.
    Fortunately I got the job, and it pays more and will save me over forty miles a day in travel. I start this new job in August, I leave My current one in June. They will continue to pay me over the summer.
    Age-36 years old
    Height- 5'11( I tell short people I am 6'0. they'll never know)
    All time high- 274 (Feb 2010)
    Atkins Start date- 2-26-2010
    Start weight- 274
    1st Minigoal- 250(reached 3-25-2010)
    2nd Minigoal- 235(reached 4-22-2010)
    3rd Minigoal- 219 (that would make me no longer obese)
    Goal- 200

    sounds silly to congratulate you for getting fired but congrats on the job change.

      Yeah, glad it all worked out!

      Weight: 135/125/115

      Exercise: Stroll leisurely around Miami Beach 1-3 times a week, between 4-8 miles every time.

          Congratulations Tom! Life is scary and unsettled at times but I believe we're exactly where we need to be at all times. "always blessings, never losses"

            Well done

            I am glad the second dooor opened just when the first door closed and you will be better off financially and travel-time wise
