  • should i go back to induction? .....(OWL week 1)

this is my 1st week of OWL rung1( started on monday)

got my period last friday. so i was really bloated and didn't lose weight. since i got my period, i dont feel any sign of being in ketosis. like before.. i felt hot and sweated all day/night... bitter/sweet taste in my mouth. i can feel when i'm in ketosis.

i dont feel it anymore now! and the scales is NOT moving! and i look big..bbbloaaaated(not bcos of the period, its over). its like the menstrual cycle messed up evythg & this is not working anymore

am i not in ketosis anymore?

You won't "feel" that for life... that's normal. Some people have no symptoms at all.

    the scales is NOT moving!
One week with no weight loss is normal.

    Are you constipated?

Could you post a full menu, with quantities and net carbs for everything?

I'm in the same boat. I only have about 10-15 lbs to lose so I thought 14 days on induction would be ok before going to OWL but after a week with no weight loss I was wondering if I should go back to induction (where I lost about 5-7 lbs). You all really think I it's not worth revisiting induction?

Thanks in advance for advice and support!!

Yes - as OWL rung one is only adding more induction veggies with everything else the same as before I would stay there maybe another week and see how you go.

Many people experience a hesitation in losing weight after the first heady days of induction as their body seems to want to take stock of what has happened and see what you are going to do next.

Once it realises this is now the way you eat, not a crash diet you are going to stop soon it will settle back into Atkins and start shifting weight and/or inches again.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Thanks, Elizellen!!! Good advice. I need to recalibrate my daily eating plans to make sure I'm really only adding in 5 additional carbs. I might have been a little too liberal. Thanks!!

and taking Psyllium husk doesnt work. i used it before i started this diet, but doesnt suit me.
            i'll post my menu later
