  • Planning ahead.

I forgot my lunch here at school a couple times since starting this WOE. I don't have access to a refrigerator that I trust, so I went to the super market and bought some of the Tuna Packets and Salmon Packets. I also bought some dill pickles that were good to go on Atkins. I keep them in my desk just in case I forget my lunch again. (Which I did today)
So today for lunch I had 6 oz of wild salmon smothered in tobasco sauce and a pickle. Not the best, but it beats being hungry until I get home.

I keep a small can or two of green beans, spinach, straw mushrooms, waterchestnuts, baby corn and carrots in my desk along with the other canned stuff---chicken, turkey, tuna, clams (stop looking at me like that! ). With the exception of the baby corn and carrots, the other canned veggies are okay for OWL Rung 1.

Did you read the list of ingredients on the pouches of tuna/salmon?

I think that's a great idea. Maybe also bring some of those little packets of mayo? That way you can have a bit of fat, too.

With the packets of mayo, you have to really read the list of ingredients. Packets don't always have the same ingredients as what's in the jar.
