  • Gave flax another try

    Oh, my I gave flax another whirl here yesterday and I am up 6 pounds today so I think that I just can't have it how crappy cause I really love the tast of it. I won't care so much about the 6 pounds at goal but right now it sucks and my feet hurt cause they are so puffy. Yup drtinking my water right now so that I can relieve this swelling. Another food on my never ending can't have list. The good thing is I didn't get any cravings or anything I am thinking this is just the way my body reacts to any kind of whole grain product. GRRRR.

    ˇyea, I can't have flax either, so I know how bad it feels... :hug
    Though, are you sure it's flax and not anything else you're having it with?

      I'm sure it's not what I put with it I actually made a shake with it and usually I don't put flax but, I thought since I was really hungry I would try the flax OOPS. All swelled up so I know now and hopefully I can add it later on but, we'll see.

        swelling up in response to a new food is a food intolerance or allergy and you do not want to be reintroducing it. you can see if it was a food allergy by making a paste of it and spreading it on a a spot cover it with a bandaid and see if you break out. inside of your forearm is a good spot. if you notice itching burning or a rash wash it off treat it like any contact dermitis. if it gets bad call your doc.

          I didn't mean I swelled up all over I ment I got major water retention and I suppose nthat is food intolerance too. I used to get that when I ate a lot of bread and carbs EWWW. And I get denting edema which makes my feet hurt.

          Thanks 2Big for the info I will do the test adn see.
