  • Is this a silly question?

How do I increase my carbs without eating more vegetables?
Have begun to use fitday and 3 days running the carbs are like 2-3% but I am eating the 3 cups of veggies. With thanks, Hinen.

    Hi,
are you having things like cheese, cream, or other things that contribute to the count? What are the veggies that you're eating? :wave

Just to clarify, you don't HAVE to eat 20 net grams of carbs on induction. You just can't eat over that. It is important that you eat the three cups of veggies. If you're eating all three from the 'salad' list, you might want to try two from that list and one from the 'other' list which tend to be a little higher in carbs.

        Checkers and Isabeau,
Thank you. Yes I am eating cheese and cream. The veggies I had yesterday were mixed salad greens and sweet green pepper.

I think I have not been eating enough calories and that is why I didn't lose the other times I tried to do Atkins. Also would this explain why I never got a rush of energy and no decrease in apetite?

Last night I did the fitday and then went and had something more to eat.
When I look at it this morning it seems that 3% carbs is 18 grams. Fat and Protein are where they should be.
I can feel my brain stretching to think in terms of volume for veggies, imperial not metric, ratios and percentages and calories. I am learning more each day and feel like I am on Day One Induction over and over. Does that matter?
        With thanks in advance, Hinen
