  • Cabbage Rolls

    I am in induction for a few more months and really need some variety. My neighbor gave me this recipe and I have been eating them for the last couple of days....tell me what you think.

    Ground pork
    Ground Beef
    Salted and peppered

    Leaves of cabbage with the meat rolled inside

    Bioled in Saurkraut and crushed tomatos.

    That's it!

    pork is fine
    beef is fine
    cabbage is fine (on the 1 cup veggie list!)
    saurkraut is fine (it's cabbage and it's on the 1 cup veggie list....remember that 1 cup of saurkraut contains a LOT of cabbage because it shrinks down when it cooks, and we are supposed to measure our veggies before they cook, so go sparingly on the saurkraut)
    crushed tomatos are fine (tomato is on the 1 cup list)

    The cabbage rolls themselves are fine :yes but be mindful that you might be getting in a lot of carbs from the tomato and saurkraut.

    mmm...I want cabbage rolls now...lol

      Make sure you rinse the saurkraut off really well. It removes a lot of the salt and gives it a lot better flavor and texture.
