  • Review my menu OWL

    Hi was wondering if someone could review my menu somehow I think I am on the wrong track did good in induction and first few rungs of OWL but now don't know:
    7/14/05
    B- 2 sausage patties
    2 scrambled eggs
    1 cup decaf coffee with 1tbsp heavy cream

    L- 1 1/2 cup lettuce
    1/4 cup tomotoes
    1/2 dill pickle
    shrimp
    ranch dressing
    Snack- 1/2 apple
    1 diet pepsi

    D- meatballs, w/ shrimp
    1cup broccoli
    1 cup cauliflower
    10 pork rinds
    Does anyone know if this is right or am I not following the owl right Help

    What's your CCLL? Or if you haven't found it yet, how many carbs are you eating daily this week?

      haven't found ccll yet and I have eaten avg 23 carbs, but from reading the owl stickie I think I have been going wrong see I have not been doing the eat induction one day and the next the new food I have been adding the new food and eating it, but now I re read the stickie and iam going to have to make me a menu and post it to follow it exactly right. Like for example when I ate 32 carbs I lost 2 lbs. but now I have been keeping the carbs under that http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJournals.html?Owner=mjett36, but here is my fitday journal you can check it out for yourself

        oh yea since Iam on rung 8 i have only had one half ear of corn and that was on july 4th since then I have not eaten from this rung because it scares me

          From what I've seen of your fitday, you seem to be eating between 20-40 net carbs daily.

          The beauty of OWL is that as long as you stay within your CCLL range, you can have 5 net carbs of the foods from the Rungs you have past. So if 5 net carbs of apple is how you want to spend your daily carbs you can do it.

          OWL is really your individual menues, so it's hard to say if you are eating the "right" things or not.

          Just be mindful of the net carbs of the OWL foods you are eating and your CCLL.

          IF you haven't found your CCLL, I recommend that you do so. Knowing that number will save you alot of misery and guesswork when planning your daily menues. You don't have to eat at that level everyday, but know you can eat, for example 50 net carbs, is better than not knowing.
