Check out the Frequently Asked Question section at the top of the Forums page, I think you'll find some great information about this plan. Also you might need to find a copy of Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002, and read it over. It will help you understand why the nuts come later in the plan. Its a great start, but you need to do some tweaking.

Nuts of any kind are not induction foods and should be introduced in the proper manner. You might also want to watch the amounts of veggies you take in. The induction acceptable vegetables are in 2 categories. You may have 2 cups of the follwing:
alfalfa sprouts, daikon, mushrooms, arugula, endive, parsley, bok choy, escarole, peppers, celery, fennel, radicchio, chicory, jicama, radishes, chives, lettuce, romaine lettuce, cucumber, mache, and sorrel.
The following you can have 1 cup per day if salad (from previous list) does not exceed 2 cups. artichoke, celery root, pumpkin, artichoke hearts, rhubarb, asparagus, chard, sauerkraut, baboo shoots, scallions, dandelion, snow peas, bean sprouts, dandelion greens, spaghetti squash, beet greens, eggplant, spinach, broccoli, hearts of palm, string or wax beans, broccoli rabe, kale, summer squash, brussels, kohlrabi, tomato, bean sprouts, leeks, turnips, cabbage, okra, water chestnuts, cauliflower, onion, and zucchini. If the vegetables (like tomato) cooks down a lot, measure raw. Your best bet is to get the book and read it cover to cover. The information in there is necessary to Atkins. If you are not following the plan like it is written, it is not Atkins. Everything in there is put there for a reason, and that how we all should be following it. I know there can be slips and mistakes, which myself am still watching. I also find it a good idea to weigh or measure everything. Even is its meat and I know it has no carbs, still better to know then to guess. Also, in the book it will explain to you when you should introduce other foods beyond induction. There always is a reason for everything. Hope this helps!!

Re: Should I change anything?

yhep you got several problems with that menu sio technically you didn't start Atkins induction yet.

You also have too much protein and noit enough fats there Totals 1169 72 28 100 you have 72 grams of fat or [(72 grams of fat x 9cals/1 gram of fat) /1169 total cals for the day] 55.4% fat which should be 65% for induction. Atkins is a ketogenic diet plan which means it uses fats as the primary fuel and as such you need to prime the system with dietary fats so you will not be switching back and forth from sugar burning ( that is how you use protein and carbs for fuel) to fat burning after every meal all day long.

you ate too many veggies too.
Do yourself a favor and make the $7 investment in yourself and buy a copy of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 or newer printing. Then invest the time to read it cover to cover so you know what you should be doing and why. You will see dividens for the rest of your life from that small investment!
