  • What about this..?

    Ok, so I know I'm going to get critisized for how low my cals are, but I'm struggeling to get back on track after being MIA for a few months and a 20lbs or so gain,
    so Please take it easy on me - I do know I need to up my cals, but I'm just getting off my Eating Disorder kick again so I have to up my cals little by little so I don't freak out and fall off again,
    guess im just wanting some imput, other then the cal intake is this good.. thanks any ideas?

    12pm(lunch)
    -1/2 c. chicken breast-110 cals/1 carb
    -1 c. salad- 15 cals/ 1 carb
    -1tbsp ranch dressing- 80 cals/ 2 carbs
    - 1/4 cups cheese- 90 cals/ 1 carb
    630pm (dinner)tenitive
    -2 cans chicken broth- 20cals/ 1 carb
    -1/2 chicken breast-110 cals/ 1 car
    -1 cups broccoli- 25 cals/ 2 carbs
    TOTAL CALS 450- TOTAL CARBS 9
    ORIGINALLY STARTED:

    AT 272 AND BY 7/1/05 WAS AT

    Not to be harsh but from that menu your body will think your starving and won't let go of any weight...it'll hang on to in desperation. You have to eat more, there's no way around it.

      I'm not sure any of us are really qualified to review your menu, Stefanie.
      I'm thinking that you should be talking with a nutritionist and your doctor. We're all happy to help you through this, of course, but if you are dealing with eating disorder issues, it's probably best to talk to professionals when it comes to dealing with your food intake.
      Your body is going to have special needs that your doctor or nutritionist will know more about if you have a history of problems, and I'm hoping you are all working closely together and that you aren't doing this on your own.

        yep what Moochie said but let me point out the obvious. you are low fat. Atkins uses dietary fats to keepo the body fuel system primed for burning body fats.

        Also Atkind induction is 3 cups of veggies so you need some more veggies in there. how about some veggies sticks with a high fat dressing as the dip? Many folk use the ranch stuff and from your lunch it looks like you do too.

        you might since you have an eating disorder use www.fitday.com so you can see your ratios better fats should be 65% of your dietary fuel sources with the proteins around 30% and your carbs less then 20 net with at least half of them coming from those healthy induction list veggies.

        What you doing as the exercise part of your Atkins? and how much water are you drinking?

          Hi, ok so I've upped my cals quite quite a bit and things seem to be going good On Mon i was at 201 now its fri and im at 191.5, thats a big droop cuz i had been binging so its a lot of bloat i think that came off...
          i am trying to drink more water, but ive been using to much sweetner and i gaained a lb from yesterday, so i will try to limit my sweetner to the 3 or less, i do see a ED specialist about every 3 weeks or so, but i was doing really good with atklins then kinda started getting into a binge and starve cycle BUT i know this works so here i am agian.. thanks

            welcome back and congrats on the 10 pounds. I hope you are being honest with your ED counselor so you can keep control of this. Happy losing the right way.

              Oh yea, definatley being honest, i took the time to look up a good ED therapist and I wanted to go to her no one asked me to or really knew so yea by me taking the inititive to go i wanted to get control of it before it got bad,
