  • Average day from week 1

Okay, read the book a few times now, and I'm coming to the end of week one. I wanted to post this for review to make sure that I am following what I learned from the book properly.

    Breakfast:

    2 eggs, poached
    9 thin slices of chorizo

    Lunch:

    2 cups lettuce
    1/2 cup cucumber
3 ounces salmon (pure salmon from the single serve bags)
2 tablespoons of blue cheese salad dressing

    Dinner:

4 oz top loin steak, grilled
Insalata Caprese (1/2 cup tomato, 4 oz mozzarella cheese, 1 tablespoon olive oil)

Fitday ratios come out as: 69% fat, 27% protein, 4% carbs.

And of course, I have had TONS of water for the day.

Not exercising yet, as I'm still dealing with remnants of caffeine withdrawl and general feeling blah from carb withdrawl, but I'm hoping to start Monday if I get rid of this headache.

    Comments/review, please?

Re: Average day from week 1

Hang in there through the Induction Flu! Remember once your body has dealt with all the withdrawals, you'll be feeling like yourself again. I was still feeling sickly on day 7 but by day 14 I was just fine.

Your day looks really good, your numbers are very good....did you feel you had enough to eat? Don't be shy to snack if you are hungry between meals.

You've pushed your limits with the cheese and the blue cheese dressing, so be mindful of that. Perhaps if you eat your limit one day, ease up on the cheese the next.
Try and spread your veggies out a bit more through the day as it looks like you ate the most of them at lunch time. Make sure that you're eating dark leafy greens like Romaine or spinach instead of just iceberg lettuce (which is basically chewy water) so that you get as much nutritional bang for your buck as you can.
Or better yet, take one of those cups of lettuce and replace it with a mix of peppers, zucchini, radish etc so that you get a bigger variety of nutrients. Since we can't have quantity at this point, focus on quality.

Again, it looks good, it looks well thought out...good job!
