    HELP I'M NEW TO THE BOARD.
    ON THE ATKINS DIET FOUR WEEKS AND HAVE LOST 15LB. I'M NOT SURE IF I,M EATING ENOUGH ALTHOUGH I'M NOT HUNGRY.
    BREAKFAST. 2 OR 3 BOILED EGGS.
    SNACK 1OZ NUTS
    LUNCH 1 CAN OF TUNA WITH MAYO
    DINNER CHICKEN BREAST WITH SIDE SALAD
    LOW CARB DRESSING.
    LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER.

    Firstly, you need to get yourself a copy of Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution, version 2002 (DANDR for short) and give it a good read, focussing mainly on the Acceptable Foods List and the Rules of Induction.

    You are sort of on the right track.
    Nuts are not allowed during Induction...they come back on the nut rung in OWL, so put them away for now. (You don't mention what kind of nuts you are eating...refer to DANDR for the best choices when you reach the nut rung in OWL.)
    You say you are having one side salad at dinner but you don't specify how much that is. You need to eat 3 cups of veggies a day from the lists in DANDR, and it's best if you spread your veggies out through the day. Your digestive system will thank you for this.
    Chop up some celery into your tuna...mash up your eggs in the morning with mayo and wrap them in a lettuce leaf. Get familiar with the veggies on both the veggie lists and keep track so you don't go under or over your limits.

      Thanks For Quick Reply.
      I Will Take Your Advice About More Veg And Salad. I Only Added Nuts On The 3rd Week. After Two Weeks Of Induction Like The Book Says. Is It Ok To Eat The Same As I Was For The First 2 Weeks With Nuts Added.
      I Can Tell Your An Atkins Pro By Your Pictures Keep Up The Good Work.

        Thanks for the compliment!
        Again, I refer you to the book and encourage you to eat as it tells you to. I also encourage you to go to the OWL forum and read the stickies in there as to how to go about adding back in foods.
        Please learn all you can about this, add the foods back in the correct order and the correct amounts so to maximize your weight loss.

        After the first two weeks the first rung of OWL is to add back in 5 carbs worth more of veggies.

        Nuts are one of those foods that can slow down or even stall a person's weight loss.
        You still haven't told me what kind of nuts you were eating. Almonds and macadamias are the best.
        Have you tried Fitday and seen what your numbers are?
