    Hello Tia,

Well, it looks pretty good to me. I noticed you mentioned that your 1 T. of mayo was sugar-free and had 1 carb. I think it is more like 1/2 carb, but I could be wrong because the label says it is 0 carbs in regular mayo. I always count 1/2 for each T. anyway because it isn't air in the jar so it has to have some in it. The pepperoni I have says that 17 slices is one carb so I think you may have to look at that one. Also, I noticed you mentioned the water as snacks and around here most people drink the water all day long so you might want to try that. Looks good so far!

      thanks Deb!

hehehehe! My name is April, not Tia. TIA means "thanks in advance". Guess I should have signed my post with my name, huh? Duh!

I do drink my water all day long...I just put down the refill times to show that I am drinking my water.

I'll double check my pepperoni...It's Oscar Mayer brand...the package shows zero.

I thought my menu was okay, but wanted someone else (you - thank you!) to look at it just in case I was missing something.

      Thanks again!

Yep, it looks pretty good to me as well. Do you feel like you are getting enough to eat? Don't be shy to snack on something in between meals if you feel you need a bite.
It's good that you know to spread the veggies through the day...your digestive system will thank you for that.
Have you tried using Fitday to track your foods? A very very helpful site! Here's a link to help you learn about it:

Oh yes! I'm defintely getting enough to eat...In fact, I didn't eat my chicken breast for lunch, because I was full from the eggs (yuck!) & cucumbers this morning...I'm going to eat my salad after I post this.

Yes. I do use Fitday daily. It's an awesome resource!

Thanks Moochiecat! BTW you look AWESOME! You've lost so much weight since I was on the board last year...Way to go!

I like your menu! I may use it myself when I begin in December. I am just getting ideas for now and yes I have read the book. I just wanted to know if you are eating only 1 cup of salad for lunch since you have 1 cup of veggies for breakfast and 1 for dinner?

                sweetpotato -

Yes. I've measured the Caesar side salad from Wendy's and it is approximately 1 cup of lettuce. Hope this helps.

                Deb -

No problem about the April thing. I just assumed that everyone knew what TIA meant. Stupid me! LOL

I did good today...I ate the eggs/sausage/cheddar combo for breakfast, but had to choke it down...I really do hate eggs unless they're deviled...Guess I'll have to devil some for next week. I ate my cucumber with salad dressing for a mid-morning snack as I was full from the egg combo. For lunch I only had the salad as I was not very hungry. For dinner I had the brocolli/cauliflower w/butter and a piece of wooshie pie (instead of tuna w/mayo). My totals for yesterday ended up being: 1863 calories / 157 grams fat / 16 net carbs / 89 grams protein.

This morning is starting out pretty good too...I plan to eat the following:

                Breakfast
                -2 sausage patties - 1 carb
                -32 oz water

                Mid-Morning
                -32 oz water
-1 can white grape diet rite (only have 2-3 per week) - 1 carb

                Lunch
-Wendy's Caesar Side Salad - 2 net carbs including dressing
                -Wendy's Ultimate Chicken Grill (plain/no bun) - 2 carbs

                Mid-Afternoon
                -32 oz water
-10 oz decaf tea w/1 packet Splenda - 1 carb

                Dinner
-1 medium piece of wooshie pie - 2 carbs
                -2 cups cucumber - 4 net carbs
-4 tbsp blue cheese salad dressing - 2 carbs
                -15-20 oz water

                1424 calories / 111 grams fat / 15 net carbs / 86 grams protein

I beginning to think I was retaining water the first week, because as of yesterday morning I'm down 5 total pounds...It will come off slowly, but surely. I've also signed up for the 6 week exercise challenge beginning 11/6...I've committed to 4 days a week and am determined to get off my rear and do it!

                Thanks for asking!

Hi, April. I don't think I have had a chance to say welcome and glad you found us. Your menu looks great but I only come here to steal menu ideas. LOL
I like it that your thinking out of the box when it comes to breakfast meal ideas. So many folks have trouble with breakfast because they believe it has to be eggs or cereal.
I can see your going to be a great member.

                      Re: Please check me...

Whooshie pie is a pie made with ground beef 'crusts'...essentially a really big pie-sized hamburger patty stuffed with...uh...stuff! Someone made it a year or so ago, and said they had a 'whooshie' (sudden drop in weight) the next day, so hence the name. It contains horseradish which is a thermogenic food (think hot peppers, etc) so it may or may not have affected that.
Regardless of whether it truly does cause whooshies, it's a pretty tasty dish. I found I had to cut down on the cream cheese drastically because it was too rich for us....I like to use the hamburger pie idea, but make my own stuffings..sauteed mushrooms, onions and veggies is good!
You can find it in the Recipe links on the top bar and here's a link to it:
