well you already know about spreading the veggies out throughout the day from your other topic and that you need more water because tea isn't counted as water only water counts as water.

Have you set up a fitday free account so you know your ratios? it would be important to know if you have enough fats in your totals cause Atkins is a dietary fat driven program. think of them as priming the engines to get the fat burning machine going and keeping it running not switching on and off.

I noticed you said liberal use of your dressing. The seasonings in there do have some carbs so you need to figure out how much you are eating. Sneaky little carbs hide everywhere. Check in the corners, under the bed and in the closet cause they are sneaky little beasts!

Gracenote, I hate water and let me tell you getting down the 10 8 ounces that I am suppose to drink is difficult but I do it and you should also.
Where do you get free range meat. I see you live in NY and I am RETIRING to Washington State but I would love to know where you get them as I think I am going to go both organic and free ranged.

          Re: My menu on Saturday

As mentioned you need to have 64 ounces of water per day, plus 8 ounces for each 25 pounds you want to lose, and your tea doesn't count towards that: only water is water.

Here's that Fitday link again..as 2big says it'd be interesting to see how your ratios are...that can really help you know where you are with your foods.

I just see the 2 cups of lettuce in there..make sure and mix up your veggies so you get the maximum nutritional and fiber punch that the various veggies offer you. I'm glad to see you having dark leafy greens as opposed to iceberg, which isn't much more than chewy water.
You're on the right track though, and I encourage you to use Fitday.

I have set up a fitday account as of today but I haven't used it yet because I have been working under a deadline for grad school.

But let's say I do it right away... what are my fat ratios supposed to be?

                Re: My menu on Saturday

Well, I do drink water throughout the day at various times i just didn't record it because it is so frequent. I guess I will start doing that since I am told that I am supposed to be getting 70-80 fl. oz? I am not sure how that figure was arrived at as that is over half a gallon.

I live near Ithaca, NY which has a great natural food store called Greenstar Co-Operative Market. They sell free-range poultry and eggs, but AFAIK so far no red meat. They also sell organic turkey franks. You might also be able to find some of these products at Wegmans.

Where in New York do you live? There are lots of organic farmers in the Southern Tier and Central NY.
