My fitday journal link is at the end of all of my posts in my signature, could someone please, pretty please take a look at my first few days and see if I'm doing anything else wrong besides my caffeine intake. I have always had a lot of caffeine during the day, and I'm waiting until I weigh in Monday (end of my first week) to decide if I need to cut back on it. I was on Atkins quite a while ago (long story, surgery, depressed) and was on maintenance for about 9 months before life type things just got to be too much. Caffeine never seemed to interfere with losing weight very quickly. I am drinking a lot of water (at least 100 oz per day) and taking a low carb friendly multivitamin.

Monday I'll be doing 5 at the most, will take a few weeks, but will be worth it I know. Other than the coffee I don't get any caffeine, luckily, even when I do occassionally have a diet soda, i make sure it's caffeine free. I do have one question... if we do atkins by the book, and the book says EITHER 3 cups of lettuce or 2 cups of lettuce and 1 cup veggies... why is it bad for me to get my veggie carbs from lettuce, since it's obviously part of the plan? I know someone quoted something another member about it being mostly water and stuff, but I'd rather trust the book than someone's opinion.
